AFDEN is the French Association for Energy Law. It is the organisation of legal practitioners that are active in the energy sector in France. AFDEN was established in 2008 and has a membership of 190 individuals.

AFDEN carries out a number of activities that are all devoted to a better knowledge of energy laws and regulations. Prominent members of the industry are regularly invited, a conference is organised every year (300 attendees in 2008), working groups are active, partnerships with schools and universities are being developed, and a number of other activities are at project or intention stage.
